Karen Eslea’s talk on Tuesday morning really struck a cord. Turner Contemporary’s awareness of, and response to importance of young people’s presence & energy in Margate was embodied in their exhibition ‘Nothing in the World but Youth’. The Youth Navigators we met on Monday night were brilliant. Karen said that she always wears a Louise Bourgeois necklace imprinted with ‘ART IS A GUARANTY OF SANITY’ to remind her to keep going.
